There is one fundamental "lie" that may be blocking you from achieving your full potential.

The fundamental lie revolves around thinking that "success" is all about "action."

Now I know that you know (in your heart) that this is not the case.

In fact, I know that most of us recognize the truth in this statement by Dr. David Hawkins:

"To be a success it is necessary to embrace and operate from the principles that produce success, not just imitate the actions of successful people. To really do what they do it is necessary to be like they are."

And yet, when it comes to building our businesses, we often seek out "strategies" and enroll in training courses by successful people thinking that we will be able to achieve similar results by "doing" exactly what other people have done.

I'm not immune to this.

I've invested my fair share in programs that promised to teach me the "7 steps to this result" or the "Tried-and-true techniques that lead to this outcome."  And I've met scores of consultants, coaches and mentors who think that they can take a quick glimpse at a business plan or a web site and point out exactly how it can be "fixed."

~ If you are getting tired of strategies, you may be ready for principles…

I just spent the weekend at a live event.

There were approximately 300 people at the event and the investment was pretty substantial.

And this organization offers programs like this many times a year.

If you asked a typical business consultant they would tell you that to achieve this type of success you would need to have a web site that is "search engine optimized." You'd have to have a "social media" plan and professional copywriters on staff.

I can share that this organization is not operating in that reality.

When they line up a seminar and it is not filling as fast as they would like, they stop to "align their energy" and shift the "field" around the event.

Which is why, even in this economy, they had a packed house and people committing to coming back for more.

~ We're in a new energy now and the old "action-oriented" model is not working…

If you paid to learn someone else's strategies in the past year - have you been successful at replicating their outcomes?

The truth is, a failure to replicate outcomes can not be viewed as a personal failure because one person's successful "templates, scripts and models" will not work for the majority of other people.

But this has less to do with the actions that you are taking and everything to do with the energy field you are operating under.

And, if you "try harder", you will simply create more stress and tie yourself up in knots – which will obviously set you farther apart from your goal.

Instead of focusing on what you are doing, shift your approach and pay more attention to the state from which you are doing it.

When you consciously align your energy it will "supercharge" everything that you do – and your results will reflect that alignment.
