There is a very famous story about how choreographer Agnes de Mille (famous for revolutionizing dance through her choreography of the first true Broadway musical, "Oklahoma") was coached through a difficult "dark night of the Soul" by the following inspired words from fellow choreographer Martha Graham.
According to Agnes de Mille: "I was bewildered and worried that my entire scale of values was untrustworthy…I confessed that I had a burning desire to be excellent, but no faith that I could be." Martha said to me, very quietly,
"There is a vitality…a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open."
What comes up for you when you allow those words to radiate through you?
Do you recognize the Truth – for yourself and every other being on the planet?
Are you committed to living in alignment with your gifts – to making it a priority to "keep your channel open?"
~ Living Your Truth
I suspect that your heart is telling you that these words are true.
I also suspect that your "mind" has been telling you a different story.
Your logical mind has likely tried to talk you out of your commitment to living your dreams.
It tells you that it is too risky to follow your passion and that the only way you can "get ahead" and feel "secure" is if you work really hard and sacrifice because that's what it takes to survive in the "real world."
Your logical mind is not trying to con you. It truly believes what it is telling you.
However, your logical mind has a very narrow perspective of the world because it is trapped in a place of fear, limitation and lack.
~ You'll get the wrong answers when you follow the wrong model Pressure, striving, stress and sacrifice seem to be the norm for business owners.
But running a business from this constricted place is not only not necessary – it is actually counterproductive.
To run a healthy, thriving business that is attuned and flexible enough to move in sync with the demands of the market, it is necessary to "have an open channel."
In reality, the best way to "get ahead" and to feel "secure" is not to operate from fear but, instead, to follow your inner calling and to move deeper into your spiritual connection so that you can harness extensive and expanded Universal Support.
~ From Inspiration to Transformation

- Inviting the Universe to co-create with you
